I pretty sure she was letting out a airing pressuring killing intent. If you watched/read enough manga and anime, you should get the idea what it means by killing intent. That pressure is what had them shaking. She was made for war, so its not that hard to believe. Well thats the way I perceived it in the light novel. Wasn't really her looks, but her aura. Or suppose to be? O_o
