There will always be diversity in opinions regarding the end of a story. But, if a great diversity is present for an ending, I think the anime creators would definitely take into account that part. It can fail but still they will not ignore that concern.

The problem with the manga ending is not the result itself (which I would gladly accept), but the way it is reached. For me, it is a highly fast-forwarded and forced ending.

If you compare the ways the success is achieved in both parts, you will see a lack of strength for the second part. That is why I prefer a greater ending for the anime. I don't know if mangaka is also somewhat unsatisfied for the manga ending, but if that is the case, then he/she has a chance right now to turn it into a more satisfactory ending in the anime. They can add more details, use a more improved storyline for the ending in a way that you won't finish the last episode with the comments like "pathetic". Even the character development, that you have observed till the end, nearly fails at the end.
