Spoiler for Sono Hanabira 7:
So, I think the first thing people who have played the previous games will notice is that the setting has been completely re-worked. Like wow, they've gone from unremarkable generic background to veritable scenery porn, complete with a Virgin Mary statue. And yes, the wordplay is intended. More observant players will notice that no characters from the previous installments are there either, so I guess Runa and Takako are meant to be on a separate timeline. Or something
Speaking of which, I'd say Runa is step up from Reo if only because her personality isn't quite so extreme hot and cold. She's something of a charmer but rides a high horse all the same, and quite frankly I wasn't aware she was a tsundere until it was pointed out. Bravo. Takako OTOH I can't say I was too keen on. Way too easy to figure her out, but at least she wasn't as annoying as Matsubara. The pairing itself, I feel a bit more chemistry than I did from Yuna and Nanami, probably because it had a story whereas the other latter is essentially plotless.
I don't expect in-depth narratives, but considering how Sono Hanabira 2 and 4 had a relatively substantial story it's somewhat of a disappointment. The conflict from Sara and Kaeda's games feels genuine, and ties in directly with why they fell in love; the reason in this game is indirect.
It was just a decent time-killer. Still waiting on the Eris and Shizuku game to get TLd though~
