^^ I also wish for gradual improvement of the relationship. But it's not like there is no room for it. MC certainly likes rebellious girls, but it doesen't mean they have to hate him. As long as they have their own will and are willing to moderately disobey him it's OK (also better to read than cheering party).
Then again I also felt like this was a bit overdone, especially this was a bit of fast change after the prebattle scene, where MC seemed to be fairly sour about the whole thing, but still liking Lunaria and treating her increasingly better.
