* Damn, it really hurts hard when it turned out Nagisa got disowned by her father, but as for her mom, we don't know where she ended up in but there's a term called
los desaparecidos to describe those who were forcibly "disappeared" for being "enemies of the state".
* In the process, and worse, Nagisa loses her voice, a complete BSOD.
* Too bad, Megu got sidetracked by a bullet graze. The few really good minor characters of the show. :|
* Even up to now... we still haven't seen the purported Face of Evil! Otherwise we hope there is in the second season.
* Cheri was total badass from the start, short of being able to use the Force!
* Lots of Yuka and Mamoru interaction.
Almost close to breaking the long-standing, so-called "no-boyfriend" rule"... but then I think the circumstances are much different in this alternate universe.
* DGTO/DES demonstrates themselves as a sterling exemplar of a state-enforced, militarized form of killjoy. Dunno WTF they do when not on duty... I supposed they're paid to listen only to orders.
* and... Takamina, are you kidding??? GRADUATION? If you do, please at least be a staff member, okay? You're one of many who helps making this story entertaining.
* The Yuko we see here isn't the Yuko we see in real life, so it's a bit jarring to hear her talking about her opinions regarding the KKS and how they're being sized up against. Which means jack that outwardly in appearance they almost look like the real McCoy, but because they operate along the lines of a tribute band, they don't necessarily have the same ideals and personalities as their original predecessors.
