Well it's incredibly cheap. I guess once you start taking it you stop caring. Generally there are a lot of drug users who don't give a damn about the long term consequences anyway. Anyway, apparently one use is enough to get you addicted. How many people do you know who would be willing to use a drug once that is not wildly known? Quite a few I'd imagine (using it once couldn't kill me...).

I'd say the big drug lords would be against it (because it does kill your user base), but the fact that it's so easy to make, means the barrier to entry is low enough to supply any user who wants it.

Anyway, the fact stands that it's spreading from it's core base of poor amazonian communities to the rest of Brazil.
