I did feel a little bit of it from this chapter, with Souma
easily winning favor of one of the toughest teachers in the school. It can't be that all the upcoming rival students are harder to please than the teachers, right?
However, there is a weakness in him in that his cooking experience and intuition is mostly restricted within his diner, so he knows nothing of the wider culinary world and is ignorant of culinary theory. He only knows about the honey solution because he experimented, not because he knows chemistry, so he's going to flounder when given his first paper test to fill out. Of course, this is probably why his father told him to close the shop and go see the world first.
