Here is a simple oneshot I wrote in my spare time.

Spoiler for The duel:

As I ready my weapons, I lock my eyes at my opponent, who looked back at me with double the intensity. Once the bell had rung, she dashed forward using Ignition Boost and slashed towards my abdomen.

I narrowly dodged it and returned with a few blows with my own which she lazily parried without much effort. I can feel my anger rising. Such an arrogant person should have no rights in piloting an IS! Even though she may be faster than me, I still have a trump card up my sleeve….

My missile launchers fixed on the target and it supposedly fired at her. Smoke emerged from the craters, then it was my turn to charge right in while my opponent is blinded by the smoke. I couldn’t track her, where was she?

From behind, I could hear that voice. “Though you have a good strategy, it was much too predictable and it seems like you do not have adequate practice on long range combat.” After that lecture to me, she kicked me across the arena, which costed some of my points from my barrier. I clenched the ground in anger, even though both of us were supposedly in Class S, I was clearly overclassed by her.

“Orimura Chifuyu!” I snarled her name, part of me already know the inevitability of resisting as she continued to play with me while pointing out various flaws in my technique or strategy. All of which, I wasn’t even paying attention anymore. My A game was completely blown by my pride to erase that smirk off her face.

The black haired girl deactivated the signature Yukihira as she blocked with the blunt side of her blade. Her smile turned to a frown, “I am disappointed in you. But you did push me SLIGHTLY to my limits.” With that, she knocked the blade out of my stunned hands, again faced with the fact that I cannot beat her.

With my options exhausted, I looked at her and was returned with a look that could be described as a predator about to devour it’s prey. The activated Yukihira about to cleave my points at once was raised above my head.

I closed my eyes, as I could only regret that I could not even win honourably for my country, Italy.

But the killing blow never came…but an announcement blared out.

“Contestant 1, Chifuyu Orimura! The German government has news for you. Your brother has been kidnapped by an unknown group.”

I looked back at my opponent, who looked like she snapped away from some sort of trance, she launched away from the arena, away from my battle to wherever her destination is.

Once the gold medal was placed on my neck, I gripped the medal with anger. This award was not contributed to my efforts for winning but rather as a mockery for a false win. That Chifuyu insulted my pride, skills and to rub it in further, she practically toyed with me and to finish that off, she didn’t even see the need to finish me off while giving me the mantle of a false winner.

She was an existence that I cannot tolerate. Once, the next tournament arrives, I will be victorious!
