I started to rewatch the Anime and there are so many scenes that it just simply gets "right" but ultimately still fails to adapt the source material to even a decent level. I would love to see a remake, desirably from Ufotable. They seem to adapt Light Novels (Garden of Sinners, Fate/Zero) and Visual Novels (Fate/Stay Night) quite well. But the likelihood of such thing...
Higurashi has been getting a lot of attention lately...I'm hoping that it somehow switches to Umineko.
