Try the manga GOTH. It's pure horror (I consider it psychological, but it's similarly a wild stab). Yes, I know it's not anime.
Let me make another jab at air and recommend Tsukihime. At least it doesn't have an irky main character that's cocky and chasing after women all the time ... and I think Arcueid's voice is sexy ... and mature ... LOL.
