Misa calls gives warning than suddenly cut off.. He knows Mizuka dying was a warning to him but he finally gets some balls and goes for the report. Kimijima wanted to make sure the report got out so upon the final report it appears to be auto sent the entire report all over the world.
Kimijima probably figured that whoever found the report would maybe be threatened or too scared to release so once entire report found and compiled back together it triggered and event to be sent to the entire world.
