Technically, they've been badass since they beat Ash early in the season and Mimikyu went to town on a Totem Raticate.

Anyway, just saw the episode of Sun and Moon:

• So that's how Knock-Off works in the anime... wait, since when do Marine learn Knock-Off naturally!? It has to be Move Tutored!
• I couldn't help but think the moment they opened that door and Meowth ran into the Alolan Meowths that they ran into the wrong neighborhood.
• Nanu promptly trolls them to get out of work. He's in character.
• Acerola's Mimikyu leans more heavily on the Ghost aspect it seems.
• Jessie's short temper leads to Z-Crystal getting stolen by a large Gengar. Then it kidnaps the local loli Trial Captain, along with a bunch of stuff including a wild Blissey's egg, which is easily the most sinister things it's done. Never mind the question of how you'd find a wild Blissey when they need friendship to evolve.
• Acerola took that fall like a champ, but... how can she touch her Mimikyu when it couldn't even touch a ghost-type?
• Team Rocket trolled that Gengar hard enough that it possesses a Normal Type. Now throwing away Game Logic to not question it.
• That song when they use the Z-Move remind me too much of the two idiots from Bravely Second.
• Just catch the Gengar, Acerola.
• How does a Ghost-type become an actual ghost? And if its an actual ghost how did Acerola actually touch it. And how did it give Jessie the Mimikyu-Z crystal that requires a special Z-Ring to use?

Overall, I liked the episode more than I have the ones with Ash... which is worrying in a certain sense.
