Unless my memory is failing me from February, you should be okay to watch it even if you didn't see Brotherhood imo.
There
might have been a reference or two to characters or events of Brotherhood, though I don't exactly remember...
Anyway you should be fine if you remember the use of alchemy and who the main characters are + some supporting cast from the original.
