Seriously, the music and the flashbacks were just too much. ;_____; I'm not entirely happy with the lines they said (especially Shun, it was so weird, like he was taking her to the other side or something), but just seeing them as innocent kids again... ;__;

I stand by my original statement (which was eventually deleted) that as an anime-exclusive viewer, I find Saki and Satoru ending up together more of a "pair the spares" thing due to their lack of intimacy throughout adulthood (or I guess in this case, pair the survivors?).

Well, technically they perhaps are, I mean if things went a different way and Shun didn't die Saki would've probably paired up with him (admittedly I'm not a fan of this idea because where does that leave poor Satoru? unless they end up in a threesome which I'm totally okay with). They never have a "romance" either, partly due to their situation and due to the Shun issue. It's not given a whole lot of attention in the book either, but there are the small things, touches here, words there - nothing big but they could've made a lot of difference, especially such a visual medium, and I still don't get why-- *shuts up* Oh well, it's over and in the end they got officially together, so there's no point complaining, but it's just a pity.

If he's capable of acting like this, it makes me sad that his other stuff I've heard him in tends to all sound the same and with very little acting involved

I guess it's the nature of the anime and the character? I personally don't have a problem with Kaji, but he really needs more variation in his roles where he has a chance to show his range.
