From what I can gather...Konoha use to be some type of communist society back int he 1st and 2nd hokage days...probably even a little bit in the 3rd...
which is why they have so many internal conflicts and enemies out for their blood (Sasuke and Nagato).
I wouldn't even be surprise when Sai turns on Konoha...the only thing I am looking forward to is when Kishi is going to tear down that stupid mount Rushmore rip off.
