I've read NekoWhite and seen the NekoBlack anime, and, uh, what exactly is Black Hanekawa?
NekoWhite and the original Bakemonogatari present her as a split personality inspired by the original Hindering Cat, but NekoBlack suggests that there's no split at all, that it was just the normal Hanekawa the whole time, granted superpowers and playacting as a cat... which really doesn't make a lot of sense even ignoring the other books that came before and after it.

So what's going on here? Did Nisio change his mind? He's not really the most consistent writer, frustratingly, but this is a bit much even for him.

In NekoWhite and Bakemonogatari they appeared separated because Hanekawa got better at configure the cat. In NekoBlack they appeared at the same time with the personality balance was 90%-10%, not to mention Hanekawa gave(more like force onto) the cat all her memories and feeling so the balance more like 96%-4%. Also Oshino said the cat fit Hanekawa perfectly so there no personality conflict.
