I see a lot of casual ageism on these forums despite it's general openness to differences in race, religion, sexual preference, and the like. We "fat old white guys" are no more homogeneous than any other group.

Heh... I have to admit its a term I've used myself though I'm more apt to use the "good old boys club" to define the sort of people being referred to (the Foghorn Leghorn type of club, I say there...). I've also been guilty of saying that under-seasoned food tasted like it was made for "white people".
And yes, I'm white, 52, ... and the BMI says I'm overweight though I think there's some bogosity to that (doesn't account for musculature).
