Spoiler for Story Arcs:

There is 13 chapters (not including the prologue) for each character arc with chapters 1-7 being the common route.

The story splits in chapter 8 where you (Hyaweh) choose which heroine you want to invite to the dance. This is the last decision you can make in selecting your route. If you were only nice to one character, only their character name will show up. Likewise, if you were nice to many characters (read: the Harem effect) more names will show up in the selection.

You can also select not to invite anyone, though you will get a premature bad end (and a prism)
