2nd part of starry sky is night. The laser shots are the stars but we need a dark backdrop to make a starry sky.

Night entails using the optical bits to surround an area and generates a darkened 3D targeting field. Within this field, Cecilia has omniscient awareness and is able to precisely control her beam shots and can hit her targets with a near perfect accuracy. However night has such high concentration requirements that Cecilia falls asleep while it is activated. Her consciousness is tranferred to her bits and the actual field itself while her body remains steady in stasis. Even then, this requires massive amounts of processing ability not only by the IS but also Cecilia so she has a time limit in using it.

EDIT: Also, she loses all awareness of what's outside the targeting field.
