That is the problem I have with including Akemi as Shihoko, in this case of the hospital scene through the end of that song,
she does act exactly like Akemi, that is how I was able to figure it out, as Akemi/Shihoko looks somewhat different as she is a lot older now. The only reason to put her in that hospital was to invoke that scene from the past..., so now you are totally emotionally invested in this character and then she does something evil. And now you have to go back to Saikano, which is not easy to do, to try to put the pieces to the puzzle together, and when you do...
And then beyond that, I think the fact that Shihoko is a contractor also reveals a dark secret about Saikano...
Objectively, I can appreciate the craft, the genius, the almost circular logic.
Subjectively, I am cursing up a storm.
