Spoiler:
THE WIDOW (ICTUS CELL)
I. THERIOMORPH
You could hear his strained wheeze through
a thousand plates of steel wall.
His lungs catch ash with burnt clover
shards under terrace skin abound,
a pit of smoke under those bones.
II. BIOTA
Her collapsing photo-face
had widening holes in its gloss
and he leaves his home just for the night
for all the shame that he must hide.
III. QUADRUPED
The street was wet that reddened night.
Her fingers graced with sheets of ice,
she dropped into a pit of sewers
as he peered up on her graying face,
and when their gazes met as one
he looked away into the haze,
for all the shame that he must hide.
IV. FAUNA
He prayed, head down to feel a pulse,
filling himself with God and blood,
its sounds were dissonant as whole.
V. STENTOR
Paying visit once again to broken down
flesh losing form, heavy with Christ
up on his back, he fell into a river, deep
with sound and memory present.
He closed his eyes and smiled then
sunk far into a space to grow
for all the shame that he must hide.
Certainly in need of improvement.
