She's actually not quite the typical shoto you think she is. Everyone of her attacks has a bit of an upward arc to them. For example her flower kick goes up then down, her sho-oh-ken has her rushing forward and then up with the punch, and her Hadoken has a 3 level charge (weak but travels far, medium, and strong but dissipates right in front of her ala Dan's Gadoken and launches the opponent). Heck all of her kicks seem to aim high too although that's probably just so that you get more panty shots. Yeah it's Capcom....
