we don't need to relate to a mc to be able to enter a story and "live it" as if we were him:
-i can't identigy myself with lelouch from code geass-too handsome,smart,strong-willed and popular with girl,while no caring one bit about them(at less sexually).
-about the same can be said from the awesome keima from twgok.
-there's also rose strauss akabara from record of fallen vampire:a almost immortel vampire more ten ten time stronger than the other most powerful vampire and thus feared by human and his people alike;a perfect king with widsom and has brain akin to a supercomputer.
needless to say,women would kill to be his.
there's also arwan from tears to tiara and perhaps a few other,all my favorite mc are chara worthy to be admired,no worthless,dense one so frustrating they make me want to kill them,no matter how good the story is,or interesting the girl who are misteriously attracted to him are.
even kinji from HnA annoy me-too dense for a human being-even tough the girls(shirayuki,riko,jeanne d'arc,reki...)are among my favorite.
the mc from bokuto and zero no tsukaima are no much better...
i don't empathise with mediocrity.
