Soujirou: "Hey, Konata, don't die before me, okay?"

Kona: "I don't have any intention of doing that at the moment."

Soujirou: "Yosh yosh... Kanata passed away young, but at the end she laughed and said how happy she was. I'm still lonely as the one who stayed behind, but I want to be like her at the end."

Kona: "Laughing? How do you want to die?"

Soujirou: "That's right... how about death by moe?"

Kona: "You're never gonna have a proper death, Dad!"

This little conversation was somewhat funny, but somewhat sad in many ways.

And, I think the best quote in the series ( pardon my fanboyism ):

Kona: "Why did mom decide on dad? I mean, you're an old, perverted lolicon otaku. Typically people wouldn't pick you."

Soujirou: "Even for a failure like me... There was always something I was always confident about."

Kona: "The one thing you were always confident about? What's that?"

Soujirou: "That I'm the man who loved Kanata the most in the whole, entire world."

Added to that and the change of mood in the background song, his and her teary eyes... I'm once again at the verge of crying.
