The "best friend who knows about the superpowers"is more Miles than Peter, but I'm willing to give it a chance.
The "Iron Man as a father figure" is something they've made half-assed attempts at in the comics, but I'm actually rather looking forward to what they'll make of it in the movies. I think it could be really good for both characters.
