the point is that people keep arguing the old version kurapica is more accurate wich clearly is incorrect.

but going as far as to adapt the character differently for a joke, i higly doubt it.
Certainly togashi likes androhynous characters, i readed somewhere he wanted to do a manga of crossdressing boys, and there are some cases in tis series as well, like how senritsu is confused often for a man, but potraying kurapika the way they did is crossing the line, there is this other scene shinobi didnt posted where leorio meet with kurapica while talking on the phone, that one is as cheesy as they come.
