No, but he did behave like a musclebound oaf trying to assert dominance over a physically inferior geek. And, like a lot of bullies, it seemed to come from a feeling of insecurity. He's out of his time, and presented with a technical problem he can't even hope to understand. All he has are his muscles, and they were useless.

And he did that because...? There's a lot of reasons Stark can rub someone the wrong way. But ultimately what Rogers did was:
- judge him by his outer persona instead of looking at what he did - when push came to shove, he did risk his life to save others.
- throw a tantrum because he was being sidelined. Stark was right - for all of Rogers' speech about focusing on the task, he was just being underfoot.
