And I think that's a good thing. Having an indefinite period for this series to go on would result in stagnation for sure. At most, I think a final epilogue that take place years later would be the last of it.

I think the "Kyon is God" theory has been losing steam lately anyway, although I've heard a more plausible theory that they're both Gods. Whatever.
Also, didn't Tanigawa once say that Nagato was his favorite? Maybe he changed his mind over the course of the last few years.
In any case, Haruhi is a blast to write, so I can see why he'd like her so much.
