You don't consider WoW a game? I've played WoW before, and it felt like "gaming" to me.
My main point is that, from Chiyu's perspective, it's easy to see why she'd be leery of burst linking. Her boyfriend used it to cheat at kendo. This game was also her boyfriend's motivation for installing a "backdoor" program on her. Now this new guy is using it for even more malevolent purposes. Chiyu hasn't even been in a normal burst link fight yet, and she's already seen (and been victimized by) all sorts of seedy stuff connected to burst linking.
I've read people say that this arc is a bad one for Chiyu. Well, my comments are made with that in mind. Chiyu's first impression of Burst Linking can't be a very good one, and that might be something people would want to consider in evaluating Chiyu's actions going forward.
