OffTopic: Anytime soon, Aki-P would be forced to retweak the girls' working schedules so that it doesn't affect their health and well-being.

Ontopic: As with most shows under Kawamori (i.e. Macross 7, Frontier, Aquarion EVOL), yep, there's going to be a trusty pet.
