I missed back when Furuichi gets to have a good moment for himself once in a while, like back when he did the pool shock trick. Now it's all pure comedy that's constantly a 'oh, you're so pathetic' type of comedy. It works well with Furuichi, but it's also way too overused.

I'm in the same line of thought, and I find myself thinking this way often with many comical shows and often being quite disappointed.
Arakawa Under the Bridge was about the only series that delivered in that regard.
But yeah, two or three more chapters of awesome and he'll be back to the schmuck again.
