Almost forgot I had a question. This has been bugging me a bit since back at the beginning of the year when I first saw this, but I imagined I just mucked up the math somewhere.
I guess the whole question itself is a spoiler, hense:
Spoiler
for
Hercules 12 Labours - Berserker
:
Having since watched eps 14-16 again, I can't help but notice that Berserker was killed 13 times, which is, uh... One time more then he should have been permitted to live.
Archer defeated him a total of 5 times. Tohsaka got a single kill in by herself. Saber and Shirou together defeated Berserker in a single strike for 7 more lives.
Does that imply that Hercules 12 labours permitted him 12
extra
lives, which I guess falls more upon the idea of 12 resurrections, or is there some sort of discontinuity in the logic here? No matter how I look at it, 5+1+7!=12.
It's wierd since they specify that he has 12 lives, not 12 resurrections, which is intuitive more towards the idea that he should indeed have died no more then 12 times. Maybe the Saber/Shiro combo is just so bad ass it can kill him more times then he can live.
