So for now, because of the shock of almost getting hit by the car, her personality got affected and she's acting like this.
I think most of the people around her, Kyon and Asakura knew there was something wrong with her, just not to the extent it really is, they just thought she was a little out of it because of the episode, not something that needed to be addressed bluntly.
