I just want writers to realize that you can have great and deep relationships with characters that doesn't have to be romantic love.

I will make a wild guess, and say most recent anime target a "younger teenager" demography who may adore romantics too much. It's not a bad thing because i love romances too. But only when it's fitting...
And recent anime *cough*AngelBeats*cough* is a good example.
