Well, for the first, it is possible for them to be joining scenes that are actually from entirely different places while giving the illusion they are sequential. (It seems they are doing this quite a bit from the way they intermix scenes of the match (when they are in their Panzerjackets) and practice (when they are in normal uniforms - why do they not use the jackets when they are practicing anyway?)

As for the Type 89, they were snaking on a mountain path, and skill in driving is likely to be more important than the raw speed of the vehicle.
