However, the Spawn have Zerg qualities, Keroko-kun. They
are controllable to a degree, but only if you have a living Omega Candidate. Employing the limited powers granted by Omega, a Candidate can control the Spawn. This is evident in Episode 2 of Alpha, when the enemy pretty much knocks on Erio/Caro/Lutecia's door. Omega's vessel at that time, not yet fully consumed by Omega, was able to control the Spawn.
So it
is possible. :3
