Reading the Japanese raw chapter, it looked to me like it went something like this:

Nodoka: Come to think of it, using something called iPS cells, it seems two members of the same sex can have children.

I'm pretty sure what she's referring to are "induced pluripotent stem" (iPS) cells, which are stem cells that can apparently be used to create sperm and eggs (see this link for reference).
