He stabbed with the beam daggers and used the beam sabers to slice the MA up.
Anyway, the physics of beam weaponry in this show is different from previous one. So previous rules from Seed don't apply here. So if beam weapons work, they work (just like they do in Wing).
Great to see that MAs are a mainstay in this universe too.
