Hopefully only until the flash-forward with the balloon that we saw at the start of the first episode, but it probably depends most on whether there will be a season 2. Not every show can get away with pairing up its MC and heroine in the first few episodes like Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry.

One thing that surprised me this episode was Wakabayashi living with her younger brother, in what appeared to be her childhood home. How old is she supposed to be? I figured she was probably Christmas cake (albeit still very fresh Christmas cake), given Hige's apparent age and her own...ardor...but now I'm assuming she's younger than 25?
