As for the whole Episode 24 thing, that actually isn't necessarily referring to the game. It could also mean the 24th game between Battler and Beato, with EP1 being the first one. The word 'episode' has been used to refer to each cycle before.
About Battler's red:
Well, he didn't know about it until close to the end of EP4, which is why he couldn't use it earlier. Plus you can understand why he wouldn't want to use it in the tea party, seeing as it almost killed him a few chapters back.
I imagine we'll get a better idea of what Battler using the red text actually means in EP5. There's a chance that the whole choking thing wasn't something to do with the red text, but was Beato choking him to stop him from saying something false. It could be that there's a worse punishment for lying with the red text.
Quote:
Battler sure wasn't the sharpest knife in the cupboard, when Beato tried to prove Battler doesn't have Kinzo's blood.
Beato: "Since you aren't a son of the mom you've believed so, you are not the grandson of your dad's dad!" Flawless Sunohara logic!

I think they made it pretty obvious that Battler didn't give a damn whether he was actually Kinzo's grandson or not. The thing that stopped him was finding out that he wasn't his mother's son, and Beato then won by default.
One last thing. If you think this is the last we've seen of Ange, you're sadly mistaken. I don't know if or how Ryuukishi will bring her back in EP5, but she's way too popular to stay away for long.
Remember, this is Ryuukishi we're talking about. The first answer arc will probably turn everything on its head again.
