Except the anime has basically ignored rank and level completely and just did whatever was cool/effective, among other things. (Also, thought one of the very early ones used only for fusion ignored s-link establishment.) The point was more "They have the option" anyway. There's still a lot of untouched territory and there is no social link to summon *that* anyway which is very likely coming.
