So I wasted all that time waiting for the chapter all day not to have Ivan want to steal Laxus' Lacrima but to have Ivan ask where Fairy Tail's basement is.

At least next chapter is a true fight... Ivan implied he's Gildarts level. Guess we'll get to see if it's true, since when you get down to it being able to pawn Laxus is just about the only way to put your money where your mouth is on that topic. Good luck with that Ivan (but on the plus side if you can... just maybe... we can finally get a long term villain in this series)

Plus "specialized anti fairy tail team" seems a round about way to say each of them is there to take on a single opponent of Ivan's choosing best built to counter Fairy tail member X's magic but if they don't get that opponent they're fucked (and really outnumbered... They better have more members than just these 5 who aren't fodder somewhere. Plus vs a Dark Guild like Raven Tail, Fairy Tail will likely get Crime Sorcière backing them up. After all defeating Dark Guilds is there reason for being (after stopping that strange magic that is) and there members are all but Fairy Tail members and easy S mages if not stronger)
