They obviously didn't read the Light Novel. This story takes place in the Sengoku Era, but in a different reality from our "Monkey". A major theme in the Light Novel is to change history while still exposing historical events of the Sengoku Era. If I wanted to read something where everything in the Sengoku era took place of how it did in history than I would read a textbook. This Light Novel is all sort of entertainments like Romance, Humor, Action, Adventure, and Harem, but still explore history which makes it even more interesting.
