First off PC parts are shitballs expensive in my country so I have to compromise most of the time. This also means 4k gaming is out.

That being said I've decided it is time to upgrade my monitor. Asked some of my friends for suggestions as well and I've boiled down my choices to 2 types.

Curved screen monitor that is at least 1080 because 1440s are hella expensive.

Standard 1440 flat screen.

I guess my main question is that if I had to choose then which one is overall better? A higher resolution or a curved monitor at the same 1080 resolution?

Edit - oops and before I forget...

Intel i5 from 2014 forgot the specs.
MSI gtx970
16gb RAM
Samsung 250gb SSD
