Actually, I would prefer "Pinagbubuklod Tayo ng Pag-Ibig (Love Binds us Together)" as the Tagalog title of Watashi no Koi wa Hocchikisu.

I agree that translations, especially if it's intended to be sing-along, should match the syllable, even the sound/pronunciation if possible. That makes it sound better as well as makes it easier for the singer.
I think it would still be possible to get the deeper meaning from the literal translation.
