I concur with everyone who thinks Akane is an idiot after seeing this episode. Considering how resourceful and brave she has been in earlier episodes I found her behavior in this episode to be puzzling. Come on, Akane, you're smarter than that!
Overall, I didn't like this episode. I understand that its pretty much an obligatory service to the fans, but I'm not in the target demographic so it didn't do anything for me. Hopefully next week will see a return to form. Considering that this is almost at the half-way point it doesn't really have too many episodes to spare like this.
