Some interesting trivia:
- Tsurune's author practices Japanese archery herself and has indepth knowledge of it. As such the novel has indepth discussions of how archery works.
- The director prefers to focus on the boys' feelings and how it affects them as archers; he feels focusing too much on archery mechanics will make the series too textbook-like.
- The anime team visited high school archery clubs and top-rank archers to record their bowstring/tsurune sounds. This was to give each character their own unique tsurune/bowstring releases.
