It's the perfect example of what a Manga should NOT be like.
An Ecchi and Harem Manga/Anime. That by itself is not a problem. The problems are:
- It has got a wimpy, spineless, "white-knighty", useless, characterless Buttmonkey as MC. This could be forgivable if there was some character developement going on for him... sadly there is none.
- It is repetetive, unoriginal and boring. Yes it is hard for a gag-Manga to come with fresh ideas later on, but this one is not even trying.
- Forced "Slapstick Comedy" that is full of double standards because it's trying to be "politically correct". Tropes like "Abuse is OK when it's Female to Male" are common in this Manga. Also the mentality that "the girls are always right and if you think otherwise you should feel bad!" calls for the trash bin.
- Until here it seems that it is "just" an overly feministic Manga... it is WORSE. Because while making every girl into a princess that every male should bow to, it also uses the girls as pure Sex objects. So at the end the Manga really looks down on everyone. But this can in no way be used as an argument that it "balances everything out".
How the hell did this trash become so popular?! Using it as a Frisbee would be too good for it...
Cannot blame the Mangaka though... when people like his trash, why should he stop producing it?

Totally agree! You can add Queens Blade, Freezing and all those Hentai pretending to be ecchi shows to the list.
