Two things would make drop this or any other series...

1) Kubo pulls a SOE (if you know about the Star Wars Galaxies fiasco, you understand)
2) Ichigo wakes up and part of the series was a dream, ala Dallas.

I never understood shipping wars or the foaming at the mouth fanbase it's part of. I ship neither pairing as I don't have a real emotional tie to such characters. From the fantasy point of things, Ichigo would end up with Rukia, from a realistic stand point, either Orihime or Tatski.

Far as I'm concerned, it's still a plot hole how shinigami can have sex and impregnate a living person. What we assume is not the real answer. Though I fear that any real answer given will be summed up as "just because".
