Quick Update
I said five days on
11th so the contest will close on the
16th. I hope to have the banners uploaded by the end of the
17th. To help speed the process along you can start nominating banners now -- as some of you already are
. This thread will close, when nominations end, sometime later today or tomorrow. Depending on how the nominating goes I may make a poll to decide the winner. If possible the best three banners will be used in rotation.
Note: I want the final choice of banner to be based on the opinion of all the members' ~ not just on my own or those of the staff. I may not have made this clear before

After New Year?
Following on from Christmas and New Year, because the current banner will be going, we'll need a new more permanent one to replace it. I'm thinking we can run a similar, but longer, contest. Again everyone will be able to vote and we will use the top three. Feel free to start thinking about this now -- but no posts just yet please
